SBI PO 2025: The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced recruitment for over 500 Probationary Officer (PO) posts.
Candidates who wish to secure a government bank job as a PO can apply online by 14th July.
Applicants must hold at least a graduation degree to be eligible.
SBI has released the official notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officers and has started the registration process.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official website of SBI at sbi.co.in. The last date to apply is 14th July 2025.
SBI PO 2025 Vacancy Details
A total of 541 PO posts will be filled through this recruitment drive, which includes 500 regular vacancies and 41 backlog vacancies. Out of the 500 regular posts:
203 posts are for General (UR) category
135 posts for Other Backward Classes (OBC)
50 posts for Economically Weaker Section (EWS)
37 posts for Scheduled Caste (SC)
75 posts for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates
SBI PO Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Final-year students whose results will be declared by 31st December 2025 are also eligible to apply.
However, they will need to produce proof of their degree at the time of selection.
Age Limit
As of 1st April 2025, candidates should be between 21 and 30 years of age. In other words, the applicant must have been born not earlier than 2nd April 1995 and not later than 1st April 2004.
Age relaxation is applicable
5 years for SC/ST candidates
3 years for OBC candidates, as per government norms

SBI PO Recruitment 2025 Selection Process
The selection process includes two written exams followed by an interview:
The first stage is the Preliminary Exam (worth 100 marks).
Candidates who clear the prelims will appear for the Main Exam, which includes objective-type questions.
Those who qualify in the main exam will be called for the Interview and Document Verification.
