Grand Janaki Temple in Bihar: After the construction of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya, a magnificent Janaki Temple will now be built in Bihar.
Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, shared this information on social media platforms.
He stated that Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi, the birthplace of Goddess Janaki (Sita), will be comprehensively developed.
Images of the temple’s design have been shared, and a trust has also been formed for its construction.

A grand temple will be constructed at Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi, Bihar — the birthplace of Goddess Janaki — modeled after the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar shared the temple design on social media.
The birthplace of Goddess Janaki will be developed on the lines of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
CM Nitish Kumar himself shared the grand design of the temple on Sunday. A trust has also been formed to speed up the temple construction process.
CM Nitish Kumar described the construction of the grand temple of Maa Janaki at Punaura Dham as a matter of pride and fortune for all the people of Bihar.
Earlier, the Bihar government had allocated ₹120 crore for land acquisition. Additionally, ₹72 crore has been provided for the temple’s development.
The government will also develop the surrounding area of the temple. For this, 50.5 acres of land will be acquired.
To develop the surrounding area of Punaura Dham, the birthplace of Jagat Janani Maa Janaki, 50.5 acres of land will be acquired.
For this purpose, the departmental team has conducted an inspection of the land.
The Sita Janmabhoomi Mandir, located in Punaura village of Sitamarhi district।in Bihar, is also known to devotees as Punaura Dham.
According to religious beliefs, it was here in the Treta Yuga that Goddess Sita emerged from the earth while King Janak was ploughing the field.
Punaura Dham is well-connected to several major cities of Bihar. It is located approximately 150 kilometers from Patna Airport and around 60–70 kilometers from Muzaffarpur Railway Station.
This sacred site is also situated close to key regions of Mithilanchal, including Darbhanga, Madhubani, and Sitamarhi.
