Though the matter is currently in court, the actor recently spoke out.
He expressed optimism, saying he believes things will work out.
In a recent interview, Akshay broke his silence on Hera Pheri 3 for the first time.
When asked about the current status of the film, he said, Whatever is happening is in front of everyone.
Fingers are crossed — I hope things will be fine.” He added with conviction, “Everything will be fine, I’m sure of it.
It’s worth noting that after Paresh Rawal exited the film, things took a legal turn when Akshay Kumar’s production house, “Cape of Good Cinema”, filed a ₹25 crore lawsuit against him.
Since then, the conflict has been in the spotlight.
Meanwhile, fans continued urging Paresh on Twitter to return to the film, even calling him a hero.
But Paresh declined, saying he wasn’t a hero.
The fallout between Akshay and Paresh began when Paresh officially announced his departure from Hera Pheri 3.
In an interview he said that his iconic character had become a “noose around his neck” and he wanted to explore something new instead of being stuck in repetitive roles.
It later came to light that Paresh made the decision after shooting the promo for the film.
Reports said he stepped away due to payment issues and creative differences.
When talks failed to resolve the matter, Akshay filed a lawsuit.
In response, Paresh returned the signing amount with interest, which only deepened the rift.
Despite all this, Akshay and Paresh recently wrapped up shooting Bhoot Bangla, a horror-comedy by Priyadarshan, together.
However, reports suggest that their friendship is no longer the same as it once was.
