Ekta Kapoor’s popular show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi was a major hit when it aired.
The show began in 2000 and ran successfully for eight years. Smriti Irani played the role of Tulsi Virani, and fans loved her performance.

Now, the iconic show is set to return with a second season, and Smriti Irani will be making a comeback.
Ekta Kapoor once said about the show, “The love this program received brought everyone involved together, taking us from completing 150 episodes to reaching 2000.
She Added: The show truly deserved it.” Speaking about Smriti Irani’s return as Tulsi.
Ekta added, “We are bringing politics back into entertainment, or rather, we are bringing a politician back into entertainment.”
The show is expected to go on floors in July 2025. The makers are currently busy with casting.
Amid this, reports have surfaced that Gaurav Khanna has been approached to play the role of Mihir Virani.
Originally, the role of Mihir was played by Amar Upadhyay, and after his exit, Rohit Roy took over the character.
Meanwhile, some media reports claim that both Gaurav Khanna and Sudhanshu Pandey have been approached for the show.
In an interview with a media house, Gaurav Khanna said, “I don’t think this is true. Rumors these days have no basis. Anyone can write anything.
He Added: Once one portal writes something, others just spice it up and repost. I’m quite surprised by all this.”
On the other hand, there are also strong speculations about Gaurav Khanna’s return to the show Anupamaa.
Fans are eager to see him again as Anuj Kapadia, and this wish may be fulfilled soon.
