Kuberaa Review: 3 Powerful Reasons to Watch This Crime Thriller

Directed by Sekhar Kammula, known for the hit Fidaa, the film also features Rashmika Mandanna in a key role.

Kuberaa is packed with action and emotions, with a storyline rooted in social and political themes.

As soon as the film was released, audiences rushed to catch the first show and began sharing their reviews on social media. So, let’s take a look at what people are saying:

A viewer wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “#Kubera is a heart-winning film. Dhanush delivers a phenomenal performance — perhaps his best yet. Though the film is slightly long, it has many unforgettable scenes. It’s a full-on entertainer.”

Praising Dhanush’s acting, another fan shared, “Dhanush bhai has delivered an outstanding performance. #Kubera is a blockbuster. A must-watch! Total value for money.”

Another fan wrote, #Kuberaa is one of the finest films in recent times. Sekhar Kammula’s brilliant direction, Dhanush’s stellar acting, Nagarjuna’s powerful role, and Devi Sri Prasad’s rocking music — every scene is engaging, there’s not a single dull moment.”

Story

Nagarjuna and Dhanush’s Kuberaa is winning hearts upon release. The film depicts the clash between the ultra-rich and the extremely poor.

The central character is Deepak (played by Nagarjuna), a CBI officer who is secretly the mastermind of a massive scam.

He orchestrates a scheme that involves recruiting beggars. One of those beggars is Deva (Dhanush).

The plot takes a twist when Deva turns the tables and teaches the powerful a lesson.

The film serves up a gripping mix of high-level crime drama and suspense thriller. Rashmika Mandanna makes her entry in the second half.

Performances of Starcasts

The film rests largely on Nagarjuna and Dhanush’s shoulders. Nagarjuna, as usual, is terrific — portraying his character with restraint and subtle expressions.

His dialogue delivery is deliberately minimal, with more emphasis on body language. At no point does he appear out of place or forced.

Dhanush, as the beggar Deva, steals the show. His character is portrayed with depth and sincerity.

Viewers on social media are even demanding a National Award for his performance.

As for Rashmika Mandanna, she appears in the second half, but her performance doesn’t leave a strong impression.

Standing next to powerhouses like Dhanush and Nagarjuna, her acting seems underwhelming and lacks freshness, which disappointed some viewers.

Music and Cinematography

The music of Kuberaa is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. While the songs may not stand out as audio tracks on their own, they enhance the storytelling well within the film.

Niketh Bommi’s cinematography is a highlight — giving the film a striking visual tone from start to finish.

Shot across real-world and corporate locations, the film looks rich and authentic.

Sekhar Kammula’s direction is commendable, though there are a few minor flaws that could have been polished. The film is a bit long, and editing could have been tighter.

Kubera is a smart and socially relevant thriller packed with brilliant performances by Dhanush and Nagarjuna.

It offers a strong storyline, visual richness, and edge-of-the-seat drama — despite minor flaws in length and editing.

Worth a watch, especially for fans of intense drama and stellar acting.
